Requesting a Letter of Invitation

Should you need a letter of invitation as part of your Visa application for travel to the US, please follow the steps below:

STEP 1: LEARN THE US VISA REQUIREMENTS/RULES/PROCEDURES

Visit Travel.State.Gov for more information about the visa application process and U.S. Department of State requirements for obtaining a Visa. IWMF staff will be as helpful as we can in this process, however, it is the responsibility of the attendee/applicant to understand and follow the procedures as specified by the U.S. Department of State. We recommend starting this process as soon as possible as Visas may take several months to be granted.

STEP 2: REGISTER

Please register for the conference. A letter cannot be issued unless we have a record of a paid registration. This is a necessary and non-negotiable requirement.

STEP 3: PROVIDE IWMF WITH INFORMATION FOR YOUR INVITATION LETTER

Email a "Request for Invitation Letter" to Mariela Huber (). You must include all of the following information in this email:

  1. PERSONAL INFORMATION
    1. Full name as it appears on your passport. Please CAPITALIZE the family name
    2. Gender
  2. CONTACT INFORMATION
    1. Mailing address
    2. Contact phone number
    3. Fax number
  3. PASSPORT INFORMATION
    1. Country of origin
    2. Passport number
    3. Date of issue
    4. Expiration date
  4. OTHER TRAVEL PLANS
    1. Please list any other travel plans within the United States on this visit to the US
